As we arrive at the end of our 31 day mixing series, I thought it prudent to suggest a helpful “end of a mix” tip: using a mix template. A mixing template can include anything from commonly used tracks (drum bus, master fader) to global effects (reverb, vocal delay). Really anything you will likely open up in your next mix, you should consider putting in a template.
Save Precious Time And Brain Power
On your next mix, I’d rather you save your time and energy working on being creative and sculpting a great sound out of your tracks than setting up your typical aux tracks and usual effects. Setting up a simple template will help you speed that process a long so you can dive right into the good stuff.
