If you record your vocals in a home studio, they’re going to need a little help to sound professional in the mix.

No matter how good of a vocal performance you turn in, there is a difference in a raw home studio vocal and polished pro one. But it’s not that hard to achieve!

When I’m mixing home studio vocals there are three distinct moves that I tend to make that can be stunning when implemented well.

You can do these moves with stock or free plugins (as I do in the video) and they are quick and easy to pull off.

Each one is relatively subtle and unimpressive, but the combination of all 3 is what takes an average bedroom vocal recording and turns it into a polished professional track!
