Mixing Vocals For Width And Dimension

2017 Nov 06, 2017

Looking to get more width on your vocals in the mix? There are two simple tools that I use to get the job done.

Reverb and delay.

Specifically I want to show you how to layer a filtered reverb with two distinctly different delay sounds to create a wider vocal track with more depth and dimension.

This works great if you have home recorded vocals that either sound dry or were tracked in a not so great sounding space.

With just three simple moves you can open up your vocals and help them fill out the mix nicely.
