Mixing Vs Mastering - What's The Difference? [Video]

Today I want to clear up some confusion about mastering, and how it’s different from mixing.

Seemingly every time I show a tutorial about using plugins on my mix buss I tend to get the same two questions from some viewers:

• “Shouldn’t you save that kind of mix buss processing for the mastering phase?” and the related question,
• “Are you going to bypass those plugins before you send the mix off to the mastering engineer?”

The answer to both of those questions is “No!” – And the reason why is super important.
